Can’t make it to Toronto to see the Picasso exhibit at the Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO)? Don’t get into a “Blue Period” – there are plenty of resources online for you to enjoy and explore his works.
To complement the exhibit, Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso, Paris, the AGO has been hosting events and talks, and posting podcasts on their blog. Recent audio recordings include Picasso and the Art Market with Molly Ott Ambler and Elizabeth Gorayeb from Sotheby’s New York, and The Silent Muse: the Influence of African Art on Picasso’s Early Work with Dr. Gus Casely-Hayford.
The Gallery has also created a microsite for the Picasso exhibit on AGO.net, which offers a wealth of information about the artist, a thematic exploration of his work, and plenty of other resources on Picasso that can be found at the click of your mouse.
