On May 8, 2012, the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) organized the world’s biggest school assembly. For an entire day, schools from all over the world sent the BBC messages about what is important to them using various means, such as emails, tweets and Facebook messages. Messages streamed in from Ghana, China, Australia, Spain and other parts of the world.
World Class is a partnership between the BBC and the British Council. Its mission is to help teachers who want to develop partnerships between schools. The site contains a number of resources with examples of projects. If you are looking for inspiration or ideas for activities to mark the summer Olympics, visit the BBC World Class website.
