The Musée québécois de culture populaire has recently launched its newest virtual exhibit, The Beginning of a New Era: Quiet Revolution in Quebec.
The exhibit is truly a definitive online source for this subject, and is easily navigable by three major sections. “Prominent Figures” tells the stories of the men and women who put a face to this important historic movement in Quebec. “Events” contextualizes the Quiet Revolution by framing it through the lens of key moments in the movement’s history. Finally, visitors are offered a chronological view of the time period, and are able to navigate through the “years” of the Quiet Revolution’s development through the 1960s. The scope of information presented is exhaustive, and complemented by stunning galleries of photos and videos.
The fresh and intuitive design is optimized for iPad access, but it also offers an enhanced user experience on other mobile devices, as well as on desk- or laptop screens.
This virtual exhibit was made possible through investment by the Virtual Exhibits Investment Program of virtualmuseum.ca.
