This virtual museum exhibit was produced by Greg Skuce, Matt
Ball and Sally Robinson. They would like to thank: the Dawson City Museum in Dawson City,
the Yukon Archives, the Old Log Church Museum and MacBride Museum in Whitehorse, the
Alaska State Library, the Elmer E. Rasmuson Library in Fairbanks, Thomas Fisher Rare Book
Library in Toronto, University of Washington, University of Alaska Archives, the Canadian
Museum of Civilization in Hull and the National Archives of Canada in Ottawa. Their help
in locating images and easing the way for reproduction made this project possible. The
project research was begun under a grant from the Northern Research Institute, Yukon
College. Translation of this site was done by the Yukon Government French Language Service
and funded by the Canada-Yukon Bilateral Agreement. The Yukon Government Tourism
Department, Heritage Branch, facilitated the web page work in co-operation with the
sponsor, the Canadian Heritage Information Network (CHIN) and the Virtual Museums of
Canada. The Yukon Government gratefully acknowledges the financial investment by the
Department of Canadian Heritage in the creation of this on-line presentation for the
Virtual Museum of Canada.
