The Response, National War Memorial

The Response, National War Memorial
What makes the two female nurse statues included in the National War Memorial in Ottawa so remarkable?

Nurses did not ride horses, and the statue is therefore historically inaccurate.

The National War Memorial (built in the 1920s) is among the first in the world to recognize women as participants in war, not just as mourners.

The women represent two real nurses, who died during the war in the line of duty.

All of the above.
