Snipe fuselage

Snipe fuselage
Why does the fuselage only of this First World War aircraft remain?

After aircraft were decommissioned, they were stripped for parts to use in other aircrafts.

After the First World War was over, William Barker used this aircraft at his flight school to train new pilots, and a rookie crash landed in a field in 1919.

William Barker crash landed in 1918, after he had engaged many enemy aircraft and was severely wounded in the battle.

It was a former German aircraft that was captured during the war and taken back to Canada for study.
