Adventure Implies an Element of Risk

Glenn Woodsworth

Born into a mountaineering family, Glenn Woodsworth began climbing at an early age. During the summer of 1962, at the age of 19, he joined three partners in making between 30 and 40 first ascents as well as repeat ascents of major mountains. Glenn’s fascination with mountains eventually led him to a doctorate in geology – and a career with the Geological Survey of Canada.
