Writing Guide (Resource lines is a good one).
Lesson Process 1. First, go over conventions of scriptwriting with the class. Use your writing text to assist with this process. Put a sample script on the chalkboard, with a description of a scene, stage directions, and dialogue.
2. Students work singly and in collaboration to write a draft of their script. They may share ideas and talk quietly as they do this; this kind of a “workshop” setting can often help with the creative process. Circulate, reading over people’s shoulders and giving encouraging comments on innovative ideas or strong dialogue.
3. They must finish their first draft for homework, and have it ready for the editing day next class.
