Lesson Plans
This section contains a variety of lesson plans that follow the Grades 4 and 10 British Columbia Ministry of Education Social Studies Curriculum. Each lesson plan contains objectives, estimated time, materials needed, preparation plans, procedures, evaluation criteria, connections to the curriculum, cross-curricular extensions, handouts and sheets.
Some of the lessons can be completed over an 80 minute class period while others may take a few days or a couple of weeks to gather information and complete. The lessons can be adapted to a variety of classroom levels and teachers should not feel limited by the indicated grade levels.
Feel free to adapt and modify the lessons in order to accommodate your classroom and academic needs. Enjoy!
