This educational website is based on Massive Change, a project by Bruce Mau Design( http://www.brucemaudesign.com/) and the Institute without Boundaries (http://www.institutewithoutboundaries.com/.) The project is about our human ability to create positive change in the world through the power and promise of design. Massive Change (http://www.massivechange.com) is an ongoing project which includes an internationally touring exhibition, a book, a website and speaker series.

This site is a pilot project made in conjunction with Massive Change. It is aimed at high school students and teachers who want to produce a new breed of change maker – citizens who think as designers. These people would be, in the words of engineer, inventor and philosopher Buckminster Fuller (http://www.bfi.org/), a “synthesis of artist, inventor, mechanic, objective economist, and evolutionary strategist.”

This site uses learning objects in the form of stories to help achieve this goal. It also contains a toolkit that includes learning activities similar to those used at the Institute without Boundaries.

This educational website is produced in partnership with the Canadian Heritage Information Network (http://www.chin.gc.ca/.)
