The development of electricity changed the way of life of almost everyone on our planet. Its applications continue to expand, ranging from household use to the production of goods and services, transportation, scientific research, the entertainment industry and telecommunications.

Thanks to electricity, our society has quickly advanced far beyond simply struggling for survival. Today, in the industrialized world, most citizens work and live in health and safety. They enjoy a quality of life and abundance that previous generations didn’t even dare dream about.

All in all, it would be difficult to live without the comfort that electricity gives us and the progress it fuels. Thomas Edison (1847-1931) had an absolutely brilliant idea the day he developed the incandescent light bulb!
