Activity 1: Profiling Canadian Cars

Format: Web Quest using In Search of the Canadian Car virtual exhibition and history resources.

Visit the In Search of the Canadian Car virtual exhibition’s car Showrooms.
Select three cars, each of which you believe meets one of the following criteria:

• Best-selling

• Most popular

• Most ‘notorious’

• One of a kind

• Most innovative

• Shortest-lived

• Most interesting design

Create a detailed profile for each of the cars you select. Use the following questions to guide you in creating of your profiles:

• What features make this car unique?

• What historical, social, and/or technological influences impacted the car’s commercial success?

• Why did Canadians ‘choose’ the car?
