The McMichael Canadian Art Collection located in Kleinburg, Ontario, just north of Toronto is recognized nationally for its leadership role with reference to exhibiting the works of the Group of Seven and their contemporaries. It is one of the only public galleries in Canada devoted solely to the collection and exhibition of twentieth century Canadian art including work by First Nations and Inuit artists. The gallery facility is surrounded by 100 acres of park-like land. The grounds are used both for the display of sculpture from the permanent collection as well as for the presentation of site-specific installations.
