Canada's Remembrances: The War At Home

Canada’s war on the home front was a combination of military operations and civilian activities in support of the war effort. At the start of the Second World War Canada had a population of approximately eleven million people. Newfoundland, although not yet part of Canada, was definitely part of the North American war effort alongside the Canadian provinces and territories.
