The R-100 Airship

The R-100 Airship

The visit by the R-100 dirigible to Québec in 1930 was the biggest regional tourist event in Montérégie, no less impressive, province-wide, than the International and Universal Exposition of 1967. But as a technological achievement, the dirigible attracted world attention. A majestic sight, a technological wonder, and a media event.

The exhibit explains how the dirigible was constructed, its voyage to the St-Hubert airport, its Canadian tour and return flight.
