The Marguerite Bourgeoys Museum invites you to travel back in time and to discover the story of the Montreal area, its first settlers and Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys, Montreal's first teacher and social worker.
This amazing journey includes a spectacular view of the Saint Lawrence River, virtual characters presenting life in the 17th Century, hundreds of artefacts and a crypt where the story of the Chapel and the history of the Bonsecours neighbourhood are presented. Discover signs of the presence of Amerindians on the site, as well as the foundations of Montreal's first stone chapel.

The collections focus on the religious and historical heritage of Montreal. These collections draw from those of the Congrégation de Notre-Dame connected to Marguerite Bourgeoys, that of the Priests of Saint-Sulpice in connection with Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel and the archaeological collection connected to the Chapel.

An interactive programme, Montreal, Land of Welcome, involving the participation of the children is available for groups of level two elementary students (grades 3 and 4). Modified versions for older elementary school students.
