MacPhee House Community Museum

The museum is upstairs in a 100+ year old house that has been a private home, Post Office, Grocery Store, and rooming house; relocated to its present site on an old pulp mill property from the centre of Sheet Harbour in the 1980s.
The collection "Life Before Plastic" [C] exhibits domestic and institutional life on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia from about 1850 to 1950.

The "Life Before Plastic"[C] exhibit showcases artefacts of domestic and small agricultural use in the "At Home" gallery. ndustrial, Commercial, educational and Health Care artefacts are exhibited in the "Away" gallery.
The Foyer houses mainly larger artefacts, and those related to ship building.

Archives
There is an archive of photographs and some video and film records. Original photographs are not exhibited, only reproductions. The majority of the archive has yet to be catalogued
