Ross Museum
Région touristique : Renfrew County
Bring your family back in time to the Ross Museum. Immerse yourself in our pioneer log home depicting life in the mid to late 1800's, then visit our exhibit hall to view the displays of the old General Store, the Schoolhouse, Chapel, Barber and Millinery Shop. For the hobbyist, our Railroad and Wartime Memorabilia Collections have been expanded to include Farming, Logging and Blacksmithing displays.
The Resource Centre with local history resource books and genealogical information is open to visitors upon request. Home genealogists may now contact us to gain help searching for their roots.
Our Gift Shop is open, and passing naturalists are welcome to enjoy the heritage gardens and picnic area behind the museum.
Ross Museum has recently acquired St Aidan's English Church, in the village of Foresters Falls, a heritage building which is being restored as funds are raised.
Ross Museum was established in 1995 and is operated by volunteers. New members are welcome and are essential to continuing the preservation and collection of history within the Whitewater Region. This is a jewel of a museum in a scenic setting.
