The Yukon Government, Arts Section is responsible for the acquisition of all visual arts to the Government's collections. It periodically conducts public art competitions. As well, it works in partnership with the Friends of the Gallery a not for profit organization, to acquire, manage and maintain the Yukon's Permanent Art Collection.

About the Collections

Yukon Permanent Art collection consists of over 250 works. The collection includes works in many media by Yukon artists as well as non Yukon artists. The collection is displayed in various Government and public buildings in Whitehorse, Faro, Mayo, Dawson City and Teslin and is rotated three times yearly.
