The Red Lake Regional Heritage Centre is open year-round and houses a historical museum featuring displays on Aboriginal history, gold mining, the fur trade, immigration and much more. Here you will also find tourist information, a gift shop, temporary and travelling exhibitions and information about Woodland Caribou Park.

About the Collections

Collection includes First Nations, gold mining, bush flying, rocks and minerals, fur trade, immigration, sports, social life, transportation and industry.

Approximate number of objects in the collections: 7,000

Archives

The archives consist of 35,000 photographs and other written material relating to the discovery of gold in the Red Lake District, and the birth of commercial bush flying in Canada. Small archival collection of First Nations history.
