The Richmond Museum is accessible to the public through a wide range of collections, exhibits, children & public programs, and special events for people of all ages. The purpose of such activities is to increase awareness and apprecation of Richmond's diverse history and heritage. Collection holdings include archaeology, ethnology, textiles, furnishings and items significant to agriculture, fishing, transportation,and recreation.

Human History

The collection includes objects that pertain to the history of Richmond. Includes farming equipment such as a 1920 milk wagon and material from the Airey box company, objects of the social history of Richmond, including costumes, textiles, toys, sports, and material from the City's sister cities. Material from the B.C. Electric interurban, a 1920 milk wagon, and a 1950 Ford Thames van is included in a collection of transportation objects.
