paved Art + New Media is a non-profit artist-run centre for research, production and presentation of photographic, audio, video,electronic and digital arts. paved Art + New Media is the result ofbn the amalgamation of The Photographers Gallery and Video Verite.

Services & Activities
Members have access to audio, video, new media and photography production facilities and equipment. Members can rent mobile production equipment, as well as gain access to full sound and video editing suites, utilizing Pro Tools, and Final Cut Pro 4. Members also have access to a New Media suite with 3D Studio Max, the Macromedia MX Series of programs such as Flash MX and Dreamweaver MX, as well as standards such as Photoshop, and Illustrator.
paved coordinates frequent production skills, and new media workshops, artists talks and screenings. Paved also has two visual arts galleries, a resource library, darkroom facilities, and guided tours (by appointment).
Research Services
paved has an online searchable database www.upstream-media.ca, which contains digitized versions of much of the combined collections of The Photographers Gallery and Video Verite.
paved provides to members access to a resource centre containing photography, film and video books and periodicals, a slide-lending library, and access to slide archives. paved coordinates travelling exhibitions, special projects and visiting artist program.

paved regularily coordinates general production skills workshops in video, audio, new media and photography. paved provides professional development for artists and sponsors lectures and panel discussions by local and visiting artists.

Volunteer Training Offered
Activities: Volunteers could be working in either the Media centre or the Gallery.
Volunteers at paved could be organizing or cleaning equipment, painting, minor carpentry, postering, helping with mail outs, organizing our resource centre and library, updating the events bulletin board, or delivering flyers
Member Privileges
Associate Member ($25): access to library and archives, low rates at all workshops and events, recieve all mailings and invites, may serve on paved committees.
Voting Associate ($30): all associate member benefits, voting privileges at general members' meetings, a free subscription to Blackflash magazine, eligibility to run for Board, access to website and server space.
Student Membership ($25): one year membership( cannot be renewed), must be 18 years of age or older, upgradeable membership at any time during the year, voting privileges at general members' meetings, low rates on all workshops and events, receives all mailings and invites, may be on Board committees, access to all production facilities at the centre, access to video/film/photo mobile rentals, opportunity to build "volunteer" production time hours.
Producing Membership ($50): voting privilages at general members' meetings, free subscription to Blackflash magazine, eligibility to run for Board, access to library and archives, low rates at all workshops and events, receives all mailings and invites, access to all production facilities at the centre, access to video/film/photo mobile rentals, opportunity to build "volunteer" production time hours, participation in special members' presentations and exhibition events, access to websites, server space and web projects.
Institutional Producing Membership ($100): two persons at a time from the organization can use the facilities and these two will be held resposible for loss or damage to equipment, access to library and archives, low rates at all workshops and events for all mmbers of the member institution, receives all mailings and invites, limited access to production facilities at centre, limited access to video/film/photo mobile rentals, access to websites and server space.
