Situé au cœur du majestueux parc des Champs-de-Bataille, le Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec possède une collection de plus de 36 000 oeuvres du XVIIe siècle à aujourd’hui. Peintures, sculptures, dessins, photographies, estampes et objets d’art décoratif mettent en lumière le patrimoine québécois grâce à six salles permanentes accessibles gratuitement. Des expositions temporaires présentent également l’oeuvre de grands maîtres du Québec, du Canada, des États-Unis et de l’Europe.

Located at the heart of majestic Battlefields Park, the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec holds a collection of more than 36,000 works dating from the 17th century to the present. Paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographs, prints and decorative art objects highlight Quebec’s heritage in six permanent galleries open free of charge. In addition, temporary exhibitions showcase the work of Quebec, other Canadian, American and European masters.

La collection du Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec compte plus de 36 000 oeuvres d'art, dont la grande majorité est issue du patrimoine québécois. On y retrouve des peintures, sculptures, dessins, estampes, photographies et objets d'art décoratif. Cette collection est un parcours de l'art du Québec depuis le XVIIIe siècle jusqu'à aujourd'hui. Le Musée gère aussi la collection Prêt d'oeuvres d'art qui regroupe des pièces de toutes les disciplines artistique, acquises chaque année à la suite d'un concours ouvert à tous les artistes du Québec.


The Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec's collection comprises more than 36,000 works of art, the majority of which are of Québec origin, where you will find paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, photographs, installations and objets d'art. The collection is a journey through Québec art, from the XVIIIth century to the present times. The Musée manages «La collection Prêt d'oeuvres d'art» (Art Bank) which respresents all artistic disciplines, the works being juried each year by an external committee.

Outre une sélection d'oeuvres puisée dans la collection du Musée, les visiteurs peuvent découvrir des expositions temporaires québécoises, canadiennes ou internationales, consacrées à un artiste, un mouvement, un thème ou une époque. Le musée est un lieu d'éducation, de loisir et de diffusion. Visites commentées pour les individus et pour les groupes (jeunes de niveaux primaire, secondaire, collégial, universitaire; aînés; groupes d'intérêt spécialisé). Activités d'action culturelle : conférences, causeries, rencontres avec des artistes, concerts, spectacles, cinéma, ateliers de création animés par des artistes professionnels. Expositions circulant dans toutes les régions du Québec et du Canada ainsi qu'à l'étranger. Boutique, restaurant, café, location d'espaces, Fondation du Musée.

Outside the collection, the visitor has access to temporary exhibitions of Québec, Canadian and international art discussing an artist, a movement, a theme or a period. Guided tours available for individuals or groups (high school, college and university students, special interest groups, etc.). Also concerts, plays, movies and creative workshops. Touring exhibitions in Québec, Canada and foreign countries. Bookstore, restaurant, coffee shop, rental of space facilities, Foundation of the Musée.
