Provides the visitor with the largest collection of Inland Tlingit artifacts in the Yukon. The museum is named after the late well known Tlingit trapper, hunter, trading post operator and Chief whose keen eye and camera captured the life of his people.

About the Collections

Inland Tlingit ethnographic and 20th Century historical artifacts. George Johnston's 1928 Chrevrolet car, photography equipment and trading post goods are featured.

Human History

The collection and exhibitions reflect the human history of the Inland Tlingit for the last century and a half. Including archaeological/ethnographic peices, hunting & trapping, and modern community living circa 1920 - 1950.

Member Privileges

A Membership in the Teslin Historical & Museum Society will give you voting privileges, and opportunities to serve on the Board of Directors. You also have unlimited free admission to the museum, and three free passes for non members.
