Moose River Gold Mines Museum

A small museum (former one room school) chronicling mainly the events of the Moose River Cave In of 1936. Also showing some history of mining in the area and the community itself.
A very short distance away is a Provincial Park at the site of the actual cave in.

About the Collections

Mainly photos and clippings from the 1936 time frame. Also have tapes of the boardcasts done by the CBC during the time of the cave in. Other artifacts are on display such as equipment used by miners of that period, etc
