Meewasin Valley Authority conserves the natural and cultural heritage resources of the South Saskatchewan River Valley. With the support of the Province of Saskatchewan, the City of Saskatoon and the University of Saskatchewan, Meewasin undertakes programs and projects in river valley research, education, development and conservation. The Meewasin Valley includes over 50 km of trails, two interpretive centres, and historic, natural and scenic sites.

About the Collections

Our two interpretive centres are not collection-based; Meewasin Valley Centre (MVC) focuses on city history and nature while the Beaver Creek Conservation Area (BCCA) focuses on nature and sustainability.
We consider our collection to be the historic buildings and sites and the natural conservation areas within the conservation zone.
