Saskatchewan Science Centre
The Saskatchewan Science Centre is an interactive science museum and Imax theatre which brings scientific principles to life in a fun and entertaining way. Since its opening in 1989, the Saskatchewan Science Centre has grown to become the province's #1 Tourist and Educational Attraction, with 250,000 visitors annually. We believe in a hands-on discovery approach to scientific principles and theories. Through educational and interactive programs and exhibits, the Saskatchewan Science Centre seeks to promote the development of scientific literacy and foster a positive attitude toward scientific learning. We don't want to teach people science, but rather, to make science so much fun they they want will to make it a permanent part of their lives.
The Science Centre does this through two facilities, the Powerhouse of Discovery, and the Kramer IMAX Theatre. The Powerhouse of Discovery features hands-on exhibits that explore basic scientific principles and innovative science programs for everyone from pre-schoolers to senior citizens. The Kramer IMAX Theatre presents science and nature films in the exciting IMAX giant-screen format.
