Lanark and District Museum features the on-going history of the Lanark Highlands, and former Drummond & Bathurst Townships in Lanark County. Our unique museum houses artifacts and changing exhibits from the area's earliest history to the present. The museum maintains a growing resource collection for research, including numerous primary sources for all your genealogical needs.

Hours of Operation

Operations: Year Round • By Appointment • Seasonal

Open: 2013 Hours: Open Thursday to Monday from

September 1 - October 31: Saturday, Sundays and Public Holidays from 1 to 4 PM.

Appointments can be made year around for research or tours.

Closed: Tuesday • Wednesday
Christmas Day, New Years Day, Easter Monday.

About Collections

Houses displays of tools, clothing and artifacts collected from Lanark Area Pioneer Homes, as well as a library of Canadiana Books and Genealogy Records, which includes the only complete set of Lanark Eras(1895 - 2000). These may be read on microfilm at the Perth Campus of Algonquin College, Telephone (613) 267-2859.
