The Port Dover Harbour Museum presents the history of the commercial fishing industry on Lake Erie's North shore. Marine history of Lake Erie and local history of Port Dover, Long Point and environs. It is also the home of a collection of hundreds of artifacts recovered from the 1852 wreck of the steamer Atlantic. In addition to a modern purpose built structure, the Museum is partly housed in an original net shanty. The museum also features the restored wheelhouse of a 1909 lake freighter.
