The Blackwood Gallery is a centre for the presentation and dissemination of contemporary art in all media. Its purpose is to stimulate the communities of the University of Toronto at Mississauga (students, faculty, staff and alumni) as well as local, regional and national communities and to serve as a resource for the academic, arts and educational communities.
The gallery presents a year round schedule of art exhibitions which feature Canadian and international contemporary art in diverse media, such as painting, sculpture, video, installation, multi-media works.

Year-round exhibitions and satellite projects.

Open: Monday - Friday: 12 - 5pm (except Wednesday 12 - 9pm)
Saturday & Sunday: 12 - 3pm

About Collections

The Blackwood Gallery collects, maintains, preserves and exhibits works of Erindale College's permanent collection; the primary focus of the permanent collection will be fine art prints including Canadian and international works, both historical and contemporary; the secondary focus of the gallery is a collection representative of other media

Exhibits local, Canadian and international contemporary art in a variety of media; exhibits student work from the Art & Art History Program (Sheridan College and UTM); serves as a resource for the academic, arts and educational communities; maintains a public collection for the university and community; engages in cutting-edge research and discourse in contemporary art and culture.

We produce research-based and monograph exhibition catalogues for one to two exhibitions each year. We also produce educational brochures, DVDs, CD-Roms, and information is always posted on our website.
