North Lanark Regional Museum
The North Lanark Regional Museum is owned and operated by the North Lanark Historical Society. The museum features rotating exhibits, a rural post office and country store display and an original pioneer log cabin. The museum operates from Victoria Day to Labour Day as well for special events throughout the year.
About the Collections
The collection, housed in the Appleton schoolhouse, was destroyed by fire in the fall of 1979, but in 1980 a new building was moved on site and re-opened; artefacts have been donated to replace those lost in fire, and a pioneer log building acquired, restored and furnished.
