The purpose of the Elgin Military Museum is to collect, identify and display materials relating to military history, with an emphasis on Elgin County and its residents, and the role they have played in Canadian military history.

The collection contains uniforms, militaria, weapons and records relating to the military history of Elgin County and the role its residents have played in Canada's military history.

Archives
The Museum has a limited archive section containing military documents and publications, techinical manuals and copies of correspondence and orders. As well, the Museum is collecting information on veterans from Elgin County and their personal experiences in the military.
