Labrador Heritage Society

The Labrador Heritage Society is an incorporated body. It was established in 1976 as a non profit volunteer organization. It presently owns, maintains, and runs three sites in North West River. The Labrador Heritage Museum, the Lester Burry Memorial Park and Sunday Hill Park. It also has two branches, the Height of Land branch in Labrador West and the Big Hill branch in Churchill falls. The mandate of the LHS is to collect, protect, preserve and promote the history and traditional culture of Labrador and its People. We have a membership with regular members and associate members.

Visitor Services
At the museum we sell post cards, postal stamps and have a mail box, so that the visitor can mail their cards from the museum. The post cards are of the museum and the community.

The Museum offers guided tours.
Open: The Museum is open from 9:00am -5:00pm daily from June to September. In May and October it is open on weekends and by appointment for the rest of the year.For appointment the number to call is 709 497 8566.
