Lennoxville Ascot Historical and Museum Society
Région touristique : Eastern Townships
The Lennoxville Ascot Historical and Museum Society was founded and is housed in the Uplands Cultural and Heritage Centre (www.uplands.ca), an elegant historic building erected in 1862. Its architecture in the Georgian tradition reveals the British origins of its first occupants. The mission of the organization is to raise the community awareness and interest in local history, cultural heritage, traditional crafts, conservation of properties, artifacts and archives in order to communicate between generations and cultural groups an understanding of the heritage of the area.
